This page is for Alaskans and former Alaskans. If you have ever worked or lived in the state – or currently do – you should check with the Alaska Department of Revenue Treasure Division to see if you have unclaimed property.
Start your search by visiting the Alaska Unclaimed Property Program page by clicking Unclaimed Property Search. There, you can conduct your search to see if you are owed any money by the state.
Enter your last name or business name to begin. You can also include your first name, zip code, and/or city name but these are optional fields. If you have been given a property ID you can use that to search as well.
Next, review the results to determine if your name appears. Note that the search will return similar names in addition to exact matches.
If you find funds that are owed to you, you will next need to file a claim to receive your funds. You can begin this process online as well after locating your property.
Once you have filed a claim, you can check its status here.
Alaska notes that its unclaimed property team is very small so it may take several weeks for a claim to be reviewed and your claim to be validated.
