If you’re a Colorado resident or have lived in the state in the past, it’s a good idea to search for any unclaimed property that may be waiting for you. The Great Colorado Payback has helped reunite Coloradans with millions of dollars in unclaimed property.
The Colorado State Treasurer currently maintains a list of over 1.7 million names of individuals and businesses that have unclaimed property.
To start your search for unclaimed property, click Search for Unclaimed Property and enter your name or business name in the search bar. If there is a match, you can quickly and easily file a claim right there online. Simply click “claim” to choose your property and then fill out the form with your identifying information so the state can confirm you are the owner.
Unclaimed property always belongs to its owner even if it is never claimed. All unclaimed property is held in trust until the rightful owner or their heirs claim it. There are no time limits for filing your claim.
