Have you ever lived or worked in the District of Columbia? Then you should check with the DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer to see if you have unclaimed property in your name.
In the fiscal year 2022, the District of Columbia returned property totaling over $27 million dollars.
To start your search, click Search for Unclaimed Property. You can then enter your last name or a business name with options to include a first name or initial, a city, and/or a zip code. And if you have a property ID you can search using that as well.
Claimants who find property in their name should submit claims online. DC notes that claims mailed to their office will require additional time to process.
