Indiana residents this page is for you. If you currently live in Indiana, have lived in Indiana or have worked for a company in Indiana, you should check with the Office of the Indiana Attorney General to see if you have property owed to you by the state.

First, visit Indiana’s Unclaimed Property Division by clicking Unclaimed Property Search. There, you can conduct your search to see if you are owed any funds by the state of Indiana.

Enter your last name or business name to get started and click Search. You can also add your first name, city or zip code to narrow down the search results. Next, review the results to determine if any of the returned names are you. The exact name that matches your search will be shown first. Property owed to individuals with similar names will also appear.

Should you determine that there are funds owed to you, you will now need to file a claim to receive your funds.

Each type of property requires different documentation in order to process your claim. Once you start your claim you will receive an email outlining what is necessary for the property you are owed.

Allow up to 90 days for the processing of your claim.

In Indiana, individuals have up to 25 years to claim their property. After 25 years, the property will belong to the state.
