If you currently or ever before lived in Kentucky or have worked for a company in Kentucky, you should check with the Kentucky State Treasurer to see if you have unclaimed property in your name. Kentucky’s unclaimed property fund has nearly $800 million in assets!
To see if you have any unclaimed property you’ll first need to do a search with the Kentucky State Treasury by clicking Unclaimed Property Search. You’re required to enter a last name or company name to start. You can also narrow the results by including a first name and/or city. You’ll need to check the reCAPTCHA box before proceeding.
If you find your name and funds are owed to you, you will next need to file a claim.
Once you file a claim, you can click here to check its status.
Kentucky notes that there is no time limit and unclaimed property is always available to the owner.
