If you live in North Dakota or have previously lived or worked there, you should check with the North Dakota Unclaimed Property Division to see if you have unclaimed property in your name.

To begin, visit the North Dakota Unclaimed Property Division search by clicking Unclaimed Property Search. You’ll need to include your last name or a business name and can narrow the results using a city and/or zip code. If you have a property ID you can search by that as well.

If you determine funds are owed to you, you will need to file a claim to receive your funds. You can do so online after locating the property in your name.

North Dakota notes that you can make a claim at any time since the unclaimed property is kept in the Common Schools Trust Fund forever or until the rightful owner or heir has successfully claimed the property.
