If you currently reside in or have previously lived in New Mexico or have worked for a company in New Mexico, you should check with the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department to see if you have unclaimed property.
To start your inquiry, visit the Unclaimed Property Division’s search page by clicking Unclaimed Property Search.
Next, enter your last name or company name to start the search. You can also include a first name and/or city name to narrow your results. Check the box at the top to include “less specific match” results if your name is hard to spell or you have gone by a nickname in the past. Once you have filled out the fields you want, click the box for the reCAPTCHA and hit search.
If you determine find there are funds owed to you, you will need to file a claim to receive your funds.

New Mexico notes the turn-around time for receiving an unclaimed property varies. The Taxation and Revenue Department has 90 days from the date a claim is filed to approve or deny the claim and an additional 30 days to pay the claim. However, TRD states it processes claims in a timely manner when sufficient ownership documentation is provided.
