If you currently or have previously lived in New Jersey or if you’ve worked for a company in the state, you should check with the New Jersey Unclaimed Property Administration to see if you have funds owed to you.
First, visit the New Jersey Department of the Treasury by clicking Unclaimed Property Search.
Next, you’ll enter your last name or business name to get started. You can also include a first name, city, zip code, and/or property ID to narrow the results.
Should you determine that there are funds owed to you, you will next need to file a claim to receive your funds. Once you have filed a claim, you can check here for its status.
New Jersey notes, if property is not claimed it remains in the Unclaimed Property Trust Fund in perpetuity or until a valid claim is submitted and processed.
