Former and current residents of Wisconsin – or those who have worked there – should check with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue to see if there are funds owed to them.
Start by visiting the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Unclaimed Property search by clicking Unclaimed Property Search. You’ll enter your last name or business name to start. You can also include a first and middle name or initial to narrow your search. You can also search by Property ID if you have it.
Once you have the search results look to see if you are owed funds. If you determine you do have unclaimed property, you will need to file a claim.

After you file a claim you can check here for its status.
Wisconsin notes that claims are processed as quickly as possible, once all the information required is received to process the claim. At certain times of the year, it may take up to 8 weeks for your claim to be assigned. Once your claim is approved it takes 7-10 days to receive your payment.
